A year after winning the Micro category, Paul has also been successful in the Mini category of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy at Le Mans. Paul was able to finish qualifying on P3 and thus secured a good starting position for the three heats to be completed. He finished all three heats on P2. Paul started the pre-final from P2, but lost four places at the start after he was massively pushed by the pilots behind him at the start. After a brilliant race to catch up, he made a perfect overtaking maneuver in the last of eleven laps to be driven, coming from the slipstream, and won the pre-final by a narrow margin. Pole position for the final run. In the final run, Paul was unstoppable and, like the year before, won with a start-finish victory.
